North by Northwest

Since Alex is still an unprofessional she gets the pleasure of having the summer off this year. Sadly Jules must continue the daily grind of having a job. However, a plus for her is she gets a pay check which is something Alex can only dream about right now. I (Alex) have lived in the big city for one year now and am looking for an escape. I did just finish up a internship that took me to Omaha, NE for a month which was an adventure but I am ready to get away from the chaos of Metro areas--and I mean far away. I am headed north to Alaska to spend my summer in the wilderness. I am going to be a camp counselor at a Bible camp for the summer. Now that I think about dealing with a bunch of kids day in and day out for three months might make life slightly chaotic as well. Instead of dealing with rush hour traffic I will have to be concerned about staying away from bears. We usually have some great stories about my cooking attempts so I am sure that will continue as I hone my skills with a campfire and Dutch oven. Since the camp is off the grid... No road, no cell service, a generator for electricity, limited Internet connection... I will try to keep everyone updated on my adventures with the blog but those faithful readers all know how well we do with that when we have reliable Internet. To steal a line from the movie UP," Adventure is out there!" I'm sure I will run into some adventures along the way.
